In Loving Memory of Paul Wild

10.30am - Holy Infants and St Anthony Church, Bolton

You are invited to attend the online funeral service for Paul Wild. Paul was a loving husband to Christine, father to Matthew and James and grandad to Millie, Thomas, Ella and Jackson.

 Paul had many people that he counted as friends, including those he met during his long career at the Bolton News, as Chair of Bolton’s Variety Club or as Councillor for Astley Bridge ward, his home for 40 years.  The family have been overwhelmed by the kind words and memories that have been shared with them over these recent weeks. It is clear that Paul will be sadly missed by many people, but we will all remember him with a smile and will recall his kindness and the positive impact he had on so many people’s lives. We are sure that when people think of Paul, they will bring to mind a ‘true gentleman’, a listener, a family man and perhaps most of all, a good laugh.

 His close friend of 40 years, and Bolton Council ward colleague, Cllr Hilary Fairclough summed up many people’s feelings:” I am heartbroken; Paul asked for so very little, but gave so very much. He was a true friend to me and I will miss him dreadfully. A true gentleman who I am proud to have known.”

 Paul’s greatest love was his family and in particular his wife Christine. Christine sadly passed in February last year; as we are mourn the loss of Paul, we must feel happy that he is by the side of his best friend and soulmate once more.
